Exploring History Online and In Person

battle road sitemap

The Battle Road Byway committee had a single web page on a town website. It was difficult to find and not a particularly engaging experience for a public that wished to explore and experience all that the historic byway had to offer. The committee, consisting of members from the towns of Arlington, Lexington, Lincoln and Concord, were looking for a stand-alone website that included descriptions, maps, and photos for each site along the Battle Road. There was also a desire to highlight relationships between each location so that visitors would easily be able to extend their journey along the byway. The website was designed following brand guidelines and developed using WordPress and information architecture I developed for the website.
